BRIEF HISTORY OF THE COLLEGE Having realized the significance and necessity of Higher Education for the rural poor of Purushottampur and its periphery a few education-loving, generous and philanthropic people of the locality, dreamt of providing higher education to the children of the have-nots as well as the girl students of the conservative families on their door step. Their dream had immense strength, their activities had the true spirit and honesty. Those young and spirited bunch of people under the selfless and inspiring leadership and guidance of Late Narayan Samantaray, involved themselves day in and day out, forgetting their own world and worries, for fulfilling their cherished desire of setting up a college. The dream came true, exactly on 13 August 1979. Principal's Message

We impart holistic and inclusive education in Tara Tarini College. Our aim is to make our students self-reliant, dedicated, disciplined and determined in their approach to their professional as well as personal life. They are inculcated a sense of responsibility for taking all hardships in life with a comparative ease and calmness. Students are taught the technical expertise with a human head so as to bridge the gap between theory and practice. In keeping with NEP 2020 Internship and apprenticeship programs are included in their study curriculum to make them ready for the job world.
